When I returned from training this evening, it was too warm and humid in my room so I decided to open a window. Attracted by a light from my lamp, dragonfly flew in. First time that I remember…
I will let him stay on the wall, close to my bed and in the morning he will probably go.

Yesh!
It's a sign.
It must be one of your spirit animals also.
It's so beautiful 🙂 I hope that mosquitoes didn't enter..
Love those snake doctors. If snake is one of your nicknames, then this is probably a sign of good luck. I grew up calling them snake doctors. Do not know the origin of that term for them, though. If he doesn't leave, gently guide him out the window.
😉 I hope both of you had a blessed dream!
🙂 I am not sure if it is accurate, but the message might be, "if you canceled a doctors appointment or you are planning one keep it" dragonflies are always associated with medicine…http://www.lilytherese.com/POWER1.HTMthanks for the images 🙂
Nice pictures 🙂 now the dragonfly is your friend 😉
It's a her.
You … you, you let him STAY? :eyes:And close to your bed at that? :insane:Overnight … while you slept? If a monster like that entered my room, I'd turn that room upsidedown and wouldn't be able to think, much less sleep if I knew a creature like that was lurking around inside my room. I'd have to make sure that intruder was dealt with and removed from the premises. :norris:
Great photos Darko. Dragonflies are suppose to be good luck.
The main symbolisms of the dragonfly are renewal, positive force and the power of life in general: Hope, change and love. Dragonflies can also be a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. Also, as a creature of the wind, the dragonfly frequently represents change. And as a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live its life to the fullest with the short time it has – which is a lesson for all of us.
:up::smile:
You are welcome Darko. 😀
Mira, my window usually stays open during the night but last night there were no mosquitoes at all :happy:San, it could be; I just didn`t know about it before; thanks for explaining sysmbolism of dragonflies :happy:Dirk, to say the truth I was too tired last night and no traces of dream left in my mind this morning :left: :DLinda, I could hear her flying in my room early in the morning and now she is gone; my window was opened so I guess she has found her way out :)Angeliki, thanks for the link"There are approximately 650 species in North America." :faint:Mit, thank you :)Carlos, they are harmless for people, they are mosquitoe hunters therefore good for us  Yes, he stayed at wall about 30cm from my head and see, nothing happened to me :DCarol, thank you, if everything about them is true I am about to have a good times soon
Star, thanks :DCarol 😉

Dragonflies
😆
Yikes! How huge is that? :eyes:
Dragonflies are pretty from a distance, but close up they terrify me :insane:
Dragonfly… It is a part of my childhood memory…Thank you for bringing up here…Take the spirit of the dragonfly with you too…:dragonfly:
Do they eat moths, too? My cat deals easily with crawling insects, but the flying kind are a problem.
Kimmie, I like them even more when I can look close up to them :DBtw, where is Mik, I haven`t seen him in this post :whistle:Teresia, thanks :DRose, no more than 4 cm, small comparing to others :awww:Felix, your cat needs wings, then *nods* :insane:
You slept with it 30cm away from your head? :insane: That's just slightly under a foot away. Well, hopefully it is an indicator of Good Luck for you.I'll compromise. I'll use Opera's Dragonfly.
Holy Moly!:lol:You know it's said that once you let a dragonfly sleep with you, then they expect to sleep with you every night. :p
LMAO.
I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem with that. :p
Carlos, everyone chooses his own dragonfly 😀 :dragonfly: San and Ed, there is one dragonfly I like the most 😉

But thanks to Opera user Words, I know that in England they have several names for them: dragonflies, damselflies and I think there might be another one :sherlock: Maybe darters… Actually they are similar but probably different species :dragonfly:http://my.opera.com/Words/albums/show.dml?id=327243http://my.opera.com/Words/albums/show.dml?id=238214
Good thing you don't have a cat. The cat who lives with me turns into a monster whenever a moth or a butterfly (called Summer Bird in Danish) enters our apartment. She loses control completely and doesn't regain it until the poor animal is silenced.Dargonflies are called Goldsmiths in Danish.
we have a belief that it is a kind soul which presages of coming welfare
Yes Dare, damselflies, dragonflies and I think darters are all different species. I'm going by seeing the different ones on UK Wildlife Blog. And Andy's Lens and Robin's Robins.
I think they are all beautiful. I have a lot of pictures of dragonslies in my wallpaper folder.
Rania :hat:Linda, I thought they are probably different but they all look alike 😀
Hi, great visitor to get. I think it may be an immature darter, but I'm basing that one the species we get in England. Very nice though!
It is called CAPUNG in indonesian
Linda, they are amazing insects, with ability to fly in all directions :DWords, I was hoping you will see this post because you know the differencies among them. To me they are all dragonflies :DTeresia, what capung means, can it be translated? 🙂
Cool! 😎
Maybe he ran away when he saw the picture 😥
it is a good thing your dragonfly flew into your window in Serbia, if he had flown into ours, the toad visitor we had would have eaten him :eyes: …he was safe w/ you, Darko!
She, it's a she.
Adele, thanks :DKimmie, did he returne home by now :left:Jill, do you think they are able to eat dragonflies? Aren`t they too big for them? :left:San 😆
