A friends only post.
This was a though week. It is not over yet and I will have some more things to do, but, believe me, I want it behind me as soon as possible.
It is Easter on Sunday and despite the fact that most of the companies in Serbia are having days off from Friday to Monday, it is not the case with a company I am employed with. There is a huge order that needs to be finished until Monday and all the employees are giving their best to do it in time. Well, almost all, but you know the saying, there is always a rotten apple among good ones. Or something like that. Serbian one is completely different π

My aunt, to whom I am very close, is having a series of medical check ups. Doctors have found three suspicious spots on her head and on brain as well, so they need to remove all doubts about her overall health condition. So far neuro surgeon she is consulting with is an optimist, but she will need to do some more scanning – lungs and head – to be sure she is not having anything serious going on. We were all nervous about it but hoped for good news. Unfortunately, this state of suspense will last for a while. Those things usually happen to "someone else" and most people don`t know all the troubles people are going through.

The last paragraph is about my "ex-girlfriend".
On December 22nd, this time of a day, I was standing on that rock in Vancouver island, trying desperately to remember oath I was preparing for about a month. I could say it in Serbian just like that *snaps fingers*, but I was afraid that English part will not go that smooth. Well, I was standing there, with waves crushing behind my back, wind in my ears and clouds above my head. 15 minutes later, my girlfriend became my wife.
So, we are four months married now. Happy anniversary, baby

The first part, your job, is just an annoyance. The second and the third give you the balance in your life. I hope your aunt will be okay. It is certainly a reminder of how precious life is and to treasure those that we love. Congrats to you and San
Happy Anniversary to you and San! :smile:Best wishes and many prayers for your aunt and family. π
Thank you all for support and best wishes. San and me spent a romantic evening/morning with desk lamp, bananas, cheese sandwiches and water, talking to each others on Skype :DAdele, they will give me day off when I ask, of course. But it is just annoyance. All of my friends are enjoying a nice weather and I have to work :irked:Sal, at some point one become aware of possibility of losing someone forever :left:
π The saying here is "There's always one rotten apple to spoil the bunch."
"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love."- Sophocles
Carol, thanks :DMartin, that`s true. Whenever I feel big pressure either on my work or in everyday life, I think about San and times we will live together. That puts a smile on my face π
π
I had a poster once, where the old proverb was slightly modernized. It said:One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is cash.
I hope your aunt receives good news.Happy Anniversary to you both
You are welcome Darko. π
Kimmie, thank you. Hope things are doing better now for you, too
Thanks, they are π
This is a normal working weekend for me..At least there's a little extra in the kitty for it next month. :p.@Lion. Surely the true modern version should be:"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life, that word is, 'Chargeit!' " :p.
π
:sing: Happy Anniversary!

π I remember that! I actually called my parents one anniversary and sang that for them.
How far did you get before they told you to "knock it off"
π π
:awww: Nobody ever wish me good look…
Joyeux anniversaire! :cheers:And good look to your aunt :coffee:
I think it was typo π

Of course, it was, but even so… Wouldn't it be nice, if somebody came up to you and wished you 'Good look'… On the other hand, extremely handsom guys like you and me don't need that. We already have good looks…;)

Happy Anniversary to you and San! :love:I think everyone at some time or another gets worrisome news about a loved ones's health. It's so stressful. I wish you and your family peace and that all will work out well with your aunt.I hope your company is paying you all extra for your efforts.

Yeah, the Serbian saying probably says, "There's always a rotten Grease Flake among the good ones." Or what WAS that weird thing that you ate?In fact, that bit about you and San eating bananas, cheese sandwiches and water while y'all talked on Skype is probably only half right. Unbeknownst to San, you were probably instead munching on a tub of those special recipe Grease Flakes that San hates so much. :insane:
Mags, they are not paying me anything extra but that`s another story π Thanks :cheers:Louis, yes :lol:Jen, I am glad too
Damn, I've been putting this off til later thinking it was a video post. Sorry you're going through that at the moment, Darko. Fingers crossed for your aunt's wellbeing.:sst: I think Serbia is being used as a testing ground for genetically modified fruit. :left:
good tidings to your aunt.. :worried: and congratulations to you dude.
Carlos it is called Δvarci :chef: And they are delicious :happy:Mik, yeah, they`ve mixed apples (Green Smith if I am correct) and some trespassers :insane:Clint, thank you π
Sooo, Darko, if you waited 4 months to confirm that you and San were married … I guess it's possible that 5 months from now, Little Darko will already be swinging a Mini Battodo as he demands his bottle or it could be a Little San. But, we won't find out until 4 months after that, right?
:lol:I got a message from Lea about that post but didn`t have time to check on it yet.
Carlos, didn`t you see this post?http://my.opera.com/gdare/blog/2011/01/09/so
He commented on that post. :sherlock:.Maybe his cerebral cortex needs upgrading?.. Perhaps his recent duties revamping the Castle of Happiness has over-tired him!. Thus, temporarilly impairing his memory! :p.
Just prayed for your Aunt. Sorry to hear of her health alarm. Also hoping for the best medical care. The pic of the "apples" are in some way deeply disturbing to me! π It could be said that the "bad apples" we encounter in our daily lives are to be appreciated, if for no other reason than that they reveal in ourselves the "brown spots" underneath our surface we would otherwise not consider as needing our attention. It is sad that most, however, do not consider careful cultivation of one's character as worthwhile or necessary. :spock: But be thankful: Hug a rotten apple today! π
My Opera servers have been very slow to propagate that post. :awww:.
Well, anyway now all of my friends know π
I am sorry for your aunt, I wish she will get the right treatment. And It is not really good that you had to work on Easter but I hope you will have holidays soon.andHappy Anniversary for both of you. I wiah you All the Best! π
Congratulations  :hat: "Serbian one is completely different" can you tell me?
Abbacus, a person always need cultivation, I think this is neverending process. If we can do self cultivation then it is the best. Otherwise, other people or events make influence on our character. For good or bad…Teresia, thank you :)Mira,U svakom ΕΎitu ima kukolja! π
