It was a rough day on my work. What is worse it will remain busy for a next two months as well. I will need a lot of strength and patience…
Few days ago I made acount in Facebook, a friend of mine from USA posted some photos from our stay in Japan last november and it was the only way for me to see them. No, don`t worry, I will not leave Opera. Facebook looks too messy, without any order and too much informations…. of useless kind. When I was there I contacted some relatives from Croatia, we exchanged some notes…. and that`s about it. But, then one girl put friends request, which I would refuse, but… She has a same surname like me :eyes: My surname is very rare in Serbia, I don`t think there are more than 50 people that share it and we are all relatives. Now, I was a bit surprised, because I didn`t expect this to happen on my first day there. We exchanged few messages and now I will send her our family tree, so maybe her parents would help me to fill some blanks there. She is 17 and therefore too young to know about family. And she and her brother thought they were alone with that name in whole Vojvodina (north part of Serbia). Part of family from my fathers line always had a lot of kids but I know only some of them – and this girl and her family could be of some other branch unknown to me until now.
I have almost finished clearing my notifications here and soon I will go to bed. I will not sleep but just lie there, listening some music.

That is :insane: Darko!! I also have a facebook account, but hardly go there… The one girl that was in primary school with me added me… Got my e-mail and now she is spamming my mail with loads of shit… :irked:I actually, really, definitely hate facebook…

Facebook is…Facebook. I find it quite useful for keeping in touch with friends and family, especially with those who live abroad, but Opera is far better for sharing photos and stories. Strange experience about that girl – it would be interesting if she is a distant relative of yours.Hope all goes well with your work.
Much work can be stressful but it is better than few work, strategically speaking.

I don't belong to Facebook or MySpace. That would be too much for me to contend with. Opera is perfect for me.That's interesting about finding a possible relative. Several years ago, I spent about two years doing some research looking for a relative and probably called over a hundred people. I discovered many cousins I never knew I had in the city and state in which I was born. One man I met on the Internet has a hobby of helping people with research and he lives in the same city and lives next door to one of my cousins. His best friend is also a cousin. Small world.
I am glad you found a family member there Darko,yes,you last name its an unusual one! :zip: When I created a FaceBook account ,it was because I wanted to see Yannis and Vaias pictures 😀 I was surpised to find a msg from a girl in London telling me she has the same last name as my Maiden name,(I usually use my Maiden Name since my late husband was a very well known New Yorker), my surprise on the message was becausemy parents were orphans and we had no ralatives we knew….I dicovered she is a nice my first cousins daughter…The Interent can bring lost family members together.However we can convice them to become Opera members since Opera PWNS!!! Facebook can be useful like that. Kim found two half-brothers she didn't even know existed through that. But, like you say, it's full of too much useless information from people who add you simply because you were in the same nursery school as them. :irked: Social networking used to mean something completely different to that.

I slept for a solid 9 hours and woke up in the same position I went to bed :insane:What I dislike the most about Facebook is that it is based on a short messages members are exchanging on each other`s "walls" or personal ones. This is not how you can get to know people and understand them. Or, you need a lot of time, at least. In Opera, it is much more important what you write or put in your posts and this is what shows the way of thinking. Then you may like it or not and it will help you make decision of do you want to know person more or not.I will have to wait for her response now, I snet her family tree and now they will have to study it and find (possible) connections.It was a nice surprise, anyway 🙂

what a drag! I hope you feel better and work ameliorates. FACEBOOK, just a hint, you can block many applications, like "What Sort of Martial Arts Hero Would You Like to Be in Your Dreams?" and so forth… that may save you a little time and energy 😀 but the rest of us like to ponder these things… 🙂
Facebook is totally different. Not least because it's a social networking site, whereas Opera is that, and blogging, but it's more of a community. I hate Facebook, but I can keep up to date with my family there. The bad thing is that everyone who's even distantly related to me adds me.. Though it's nice to find out. I hope you get your answers soon :up:
