Even though I don't have a clue about football (American football for my European readers), San thought it would be a good idea to spend a nice day watching a game between Alouettes from Montreal and our BC Lions club. I was never had the opportunity to see that before so I liked the idea as well :up:

San, some of it, yes. I am not quite sure about who is having ball and when, sometimes it gets confusing…Louis, the last one is a proof that I was following what was happening in a game 😛
Since you and San actually had some money left over to go eat at a restaurant afterwards, I take it it wasn't the ultra mega super expensive outing that going to a Pro Football Game is over here in the USA. I last went to a Dallas Cowboys game back in 87 and it was expensive then. Nowadays, I hear that if a family of 4 wants to go to a Pro Football game, they have to sell their house or get a loan. :insane: Yep, with 4 tickets, food, drinks, beer and souvenirs … Wooooooo! Yeah, over here, depending on the Football Team, the ticket prices are ridiculously expensive. :ko:
Actually it was pretty expensive…and the beer! We could buy a 6 pack for what one cost at the stadium. But, we don't really go out that much and we watch our savings pretty carefully. Have to enjoy life a little! 🙂

Yep, I can believe that one beer there at the stadium cost what you would normally pay for a 6-pack out in the real world. They really like to stick it to you at places / events like that where they know you're going to be for hours. They'll prohibit bringing in any food or drinks and then they'll extort a fortune out of you IF you dare get hungry and thirsty.

Curious that most of the exciting moments involved the cheerleaders. I assume the game wasn't able to hold your interest nearly as well.
Technical Question … VERY Technical Question:What does it say on the back of the Cheerleaders' Shorts? :sherlock: I seriously can't make it out.It doesn't quite say Lions and I don't think it says British Columbia. And it's too short to say, "What are you doing looking here? Shouldn't you be looking at the game?"

Even though I mentioned "More Football" just yesterday, I had already forgotten about that. 😆 Since the NFL Football season began just last week, I'm still not accustomed to thinking "It's Sunday … FOOTBALL!" I was sitting here leisurely thinking, "Okay, in half an hour, I'll eat lunch." And then presumably I'd go back to roaming around MyOpera or work on a Blog Design.Suddenly it hit me, "Wait a minute! It should be noted that the term "American Football" is normally used to cover football as played in the USA, and Canadian football, usually played in (naturally) Canada … the Canadian variety is a much more interesting game to watch, because it moves faster … there are only 3 downs per possession. In addition, each team has 12 men on the field instead of 11, and the field is 110 yards (good English yards, not those French things that are "almost" as good) long, rather than 100. I used to live where we could pick up Canadian stations, and we'd usually watch them, by preference.On the other hand, I used to live in a flat that overlooked an athletic field across the street, and on weekends they'd play what I later found out was called Gaelic Football … I at first thought it was soccer played by a bunch of chaps that didn't know the rules.
