To be worthy of a cat's indifference – yes, I know what you mean :cat:
That cat is rarely indifferent. She's just thinking about what to say next.
Decisions do not come easily to cats.
Actually, I was calling her but only thing she did was to move ears my direction. That was all :left:
Maybe she was too occupied by the aqua-blue poltergeist behind the door… :eyes:
π
She only hears high frequency noises like spiders screaming, centipedes scurrying, poltergeists doing whatever they do and the can opener. Dare, your voice is too low, unless you were singing, "Don't feel like dancingk".
:lol:Cleo is one smart cat.:D

LOL! This is so like all the cats I grew up with. Had cats the first 30 years of my life, then dogs after that. Cats are so independent and will let you know in no uncertain terms whether you are worth their attention. You know, I noticed the little piece of artwork in the upper left. It looks like a print (monoprint) of birds? or Quail? Whatever it is, I like it.
It's an original Chinese brush painting. Six shrimps. It has some special meaning which I can't remember. Something to do with friendship I think. I watched the old artist paint it. My Chinese friend told me he was very famous, a real master.

Kimmie, thanks :DPam, so you are both cat and dog person? How unusual :DSan :happy:Weatherlawyer, you are trying to be ironic? This is classical Chinese painting.
Do you see food here?
I grew up with both cats and dogs in the house. We also had birds (budgies) and fish when I was really young and mice when I was in primary school. And silkworms every silkworm season. π .No two animals ever have the same personality, no matter how similar they may appear to be. π .Btw, that is a spectacular photo. :hat: .
Qlue, when I was young, we had pigeons, dogs, cats, finches, parakeets, aquarium fishes, canaries, turtle, water snake, rabbits… But no one ever ignored me as cats π
Today I found my cat hunting in the bathroom for the minutest bug I have ever seen, it was just a speck with legs. She chased it around, got it and ate it. I left her only to return a little later, because I could still hear her in there. I found her still chasing and sniffing after the bug even though she had just eaten it. I tried to tell her, but there was nothing I could do. Some ten minutes later she gave up. Intelligence… Yeah, right!;)
Maybe she thought bug's relatives are around :chef:

Yeah, perhaps, but I have known this feline since she was only a few weeks old, and I am pretty sure it was the same bug she was looking for.By the way: are you suggesting I live in a bug-infested armpit of a house?:D
Year, cats tend to be rather pompous as a species. :p .

Much can be learned from the cat. Sensitive in the extreme, even with back turned, you can be sure he is aware of your every move and your reason for them. Only if he fully trusts you does he ignore you. :dragonfly:

That actually seems to make sense. They do bring presents to their owners now and again.I never had a dog do that.
What immediately came to mind with that Post title was the 1979 movie The Jerk. Steve Martin's character Navin R. Johnson was extremely excited that he was now somebody … because his name was now in the phone book. So, Darko, since moving to Canada, IS your name finally in the phone book? Is THAT why you're now somebody? π
:lol:We just got new phone book few days ago, I will have to check π
Its da same with my cat. He's moody! One day he would all over me, the next day he completely ignore me
Inappropriate comment deleted.
Zulia, post a photo if you have any :DWeatherlawyer, explain your comment or it will be gone, very soon…
Whoa, its gone now, thank you Dare, no hard feelings with everyone please. I understand Weatherlawyer's joke.
Okay! I shall post a picture when my cat is in the Happy mood.
I understand his intention is just to make a joke. WL, maybe you could learn to slow down your thought process a bit
Weatherlawyer, we had similar dispute couple of years ago. Without result, it seems.Let me explain one more time before I block you.I will not let anyone assault other visitors on this blog. Personally, I don't like your comments, you are way more cynical for my own taste. You must understand there are people who don't have English as their native language and OC is not a place for making inappropriate jokes about that.My blog – my rules. Can it be more simple?

Lucky for WL that he is way far frm me. I would have borrowed my sensei's jo stick and chased him all over England.

Of course Cleo was ignoring you, you wanted her attention. If you wanted to be left alone then she would be all over you. That's how cats work.:lol:

Exactly. She expresses it every morning π
Then there is the distinct possibility that you are not important enough to her yet to warrant her attention too often. She's condescending to lay on your lap. Especially since you have a long lap. with plenty of room for her to stretch out.
Oh I assure you, the way she gazes at him, he is very very important.
Especially in the morning. She sits few inches from my face, looks at me :eyes: and then: "Prrrrmmeeeeeeoooooowwwwwrrrrrrr!!!!"
