This time everything went smoothly, unlike the last time I was coming here. First, I was going by bus to Budapest airport – air plane ticket was cheaper that way – I was flying from Budapest to Frankfurt then from Frankfurt directly to Vancouver. It was one long day, yes, we left Frankfurt at noon and after 10 and half hours landed in Vancouver at 1:20 p.m. I flew with Lufthansa and they proved again to be one of the best airline company in the world. I had good seat (thanks to Sandy, actually), a food was excellent (comparing to what it is like in other companies I flew with before), flight crew were polite – all in all it was a nice experience. Also, the procedure on the airport with customs and immigration was fast and pleasant and soon I was in the waiting area where San was waiting for me
While flying over Greenland I was able to see a full Moon along with sun rays reflecting on the wing of Airbus A340 I was flying with. A nice opportunity to make a photo

Once you went over Greenland, I watched the flight tracker all morning – I obviously wasn't at work so this was the most exciting and important event of my day 🙂 Anyway, I kept wondering if you could see anything other than clouds and now I know 🙂
Happy for you both 😀
Welcome 🙂 🙂 🙂
Yeaaaay! So happheeey for the both the both of uuuu! It feels like a fairystory, I wish a happy ever ever after! ❤
"OH my God, there's… something on the wing!":up:So, the jetlag is getting better? It usually goes away after three days or so…
Cool photo!And – welcome home! 😀
great picture! must have been so exciting to see this and await in expectation! so happy for you two…
Yeah, you two made it :hat:
Welcome to Canada, Darko! 🙂 (My Canadian friends sometimes call me an honorary Canadian so I guess I can welcome you like those who are officially Canadian :right: )Lovely shot of the moon on the wing! Glad everything went well.
San :happy:Kimmie, thanks :cheers:Sal, most of the time we were over 10km above the ground and clouds are just something fluffy down there 😀 It was a day most of the time so I couldn't see the stars but moon was a reward :yes:Zulia, thanks :DCanadagirl, hvala, sada cu iz prve ruke iskusiti sve sto si mi ranije pricala o Kanadi :up:Martin, yesterday I woke up at 2:30, this morning at 4:00. So, I guess I am doing better :DJill, at first I wasn't sure what is this I saw; then I realised we are so high and so far north that I can see the Moon that could be seen from Serbia at the same time :cool:Rose, thank you :happy:Mit, yes, we did :happy:Adele, you have been so many times in Canada (as far as I know) that you should start counting days until you will be eligible to ask for citizenship 😀 Just joking but I guess it is a lot.As for the photo, I was sorry that I have cheap camera, the Moon was so clear up there, it would've been excellent shot!!!
I waved, I waved..!
😆 +1
We should have one of those Complete This Sentence contests. While flying over Greenland……..the attendants finally cut me off from the bar. Glad the trip went well. 10 hours seems like a short time really considering the distance traveled. So, what book were you reading on the flight? 🙂

Glad you're on this side of the pond, Kamerad. That's one hell of a nonstop flight … 5,000 miles.
Louis, oh that was you. I thought I was hallucinating because of lack of oxygen and few glasses of red wine :drunk:Ed, 😆 you've almost being right. They have some excellent red wine on Lufthansa's flights :cool:San, so that was not hallucination, too :left: Hmmm, I should think about other weird stuff I saw on that plane :left: That leprechaun riding on the back of unicorn, for instance. He was waving to me, too… Louis…? :eyes:dW, it was mostly sleeping and eating and watching movies. Easy. But travelling with minibus from Belgrade to Budapest was a bit hard, lack of sleeping and all. But, it was worth  Thanks
:wine:Congratulations to you both. I'm happy for you two.
Oh my… I'm busted 😮
Congratulations, Darko and San! You're finally home.

Would that be the before mentioned huskies? Cool names for dogs.
So glad you are finally there and that the flight was a good one. Speaking of the bar, when I went to Europe with my good friend in 1999, her son worked for an international airlines. We were on his flight to Paris. He kept bringing us little bottles of booze hidden in napkins. Neither of us are big drinkers but we got rather tipsy on this flight. How about drunk and stupid. I still wonder if the people next to us saw him sneaking us booze.
Louis :PStar, thank you :cheers:Ed, actually I brought two bottles of brandy with me: plum and quince brandy :cheers:dW :cheers:Words, thanks
😆
Glad you had a good trip without any problems, Dare. Now the honeymoon can recommence.
😆
Just remember, Darko — "No matter where you go…there you are.":p

So, Darko, have you bought the Cowboy Hat, Cowboy Boots, Chaps, Spurs and a Hoss yet?
Oh I see Darko more as Buckaroo himself. Definitely. 🙂
He needs to get his residency card first. Do you know that he needs a visa to visit the States? That is until he becomes a citizen in three years. I've never been to New York, have always wanted to.
hi Canadian newly wed! :up:I wish you and San a long happy and healthy life together!
Hi there Angeliki, long time no see. How are you doingk?

thanks San! I am well,I just came back from a long trip to Europe and I try to catch up with my emails, bills and to mother the kids :happy:I hope I see you in NYC with Darko …
hehe…well, actually he bought some thin, black high tech long underwear, (so he keeps his svelte look), and and he has a thick black parka. He's more of a Johnny Cash guy. And we got a case of Okanagan Spring Ale…(sorry, it was cheaper and better than Molson)…and we bought a new flat screen tv to watch the football and hockey games on!And maybe next week we will go to have some poutine somewhere. 😀
coming from Canada no visa needed .As long as he has a round trip tkt ,he will be covered !He can travel with a valid passport (6 months or more) and a visa/residency for Canada. Citizenship will not prevent him from traveling as long as he doesn;t stay out of Canada more than 180 days 🙂
Yes, he does need a visa because he's not from a visa-exempt country. Serbia is not in the EU yet. It doesn't matter that he has a Canadian resident card. He has to apply for a visa and pay $150 USD!
And that's equal to 7000 Rupees. :DHi Darko and San, best wishes to you both. 🙂
