The last day on my job

Some of you know that I worked in a small, mesh printing company for about 10 years now. On Friday 30th of September, it was the last day I spent there. So, I planned to buy some drinks and have a lunch break with my colleagues. In Serbia, it is usual to make a small party and that was my plan. But my colleagues were a bit ahead of me and they organized barbecue without me knowing that and even made a small but funny present for me.

For those of you who are reading this on their cell phones, here is the main detail πŸ˜€

They were teasing me that I will have to wear that t-shirt in Canada from a very first day. Then, they said, I won`t have a problem finding a new job :jester:
Of course, they all signed on the back.

I was really touched.
A day was nice, sunny and warm, the beer was cold  and we spent a nice time talking and laughing. One colleague even made a layered cake for us :chef:

This is a team I spent most of those 10 years with.

That picture feeds West European's prejudice to East Europeans. The man is chopping wood, but there is no wood. We all know this it how it was twenty years ago. Am I right?

  2. Furie says:

That t-shirt's gonna get you a few looks in Canada. πŸ˜†

Mik, it would give me few looks here too :lol:Martin, actually, you can`t see but there is another chump under this one on the photo πŸ˜‰ But you reminded me on one old joke about our ex-president, but I don`t want to put politics into this post :DDirk, there were few sighs but then we turned all that into fun. Beer helped  :cheers:San, it was a small team, and now without me it is even smaller. I wonder how will they transfer some of my job to other colleague(s).Kimmie, thanks :happy:Sal, tell Jim to get another axe and keep it sharp. A pro is coming 😎 :lol:Some of them will miss me, I am sure

  8. Aqualion says:

I see. I mistook the lump for the chopping block…By the way, chopping wood is hard physical exercise. I've done a fair bit of wood chopping myself. You can feel it in your body when you've finished, that's for sure.

  9. Stardancer says:

What a nice thing for them to do for you, Darko. Isn't it nice to know that you'll be missed?

A fine bunch of folk, and an indication of their esteem — not surprising. If you don't mind, I picked out a couple of traveling companions for you. They were headed your way so I though you might like the company. PS. Be sure to feed them or they get kinda irritable. :right:Have a great trip. (And don't forget the flowers.)

  44. Aqualion says:

A Greenland Husky is always good company.

  45. gdare says:
