An e-mail I got from one of my friends. A brief history of Balkan countries 😛
Balkan is a scene where Romans whacked Avars, then later Avars and Slavs whacked them, then Slavs whacked Celts and Avars, then ended up whacked by Turks, Hungarians and Bulgarians, who also whacked each other, so at the end Turks got whacked and it remained to Slavs to fight with Hungarians and Bulgarians, who were helped by Austrians helped by Germans, who didn`t get enough once but they came again for more whacking so, at the end, when there were no one to whack, Slavs started to whack each other :knight:
Pretty accurate, I might say. Although, Illyrian tribes were not mentioned; but then again, most of the time they were just observing what is going on, waiting for their moment to got some whacking and then to whack back, helped by overseas allies who already has a history of whacking all over the world 😛

Not more complicated than history of Europe as a whole or history of my own country, Italy. You don't impress me much. :)Of course it is quantum physics for people whose knowledge of history is maybe the latest 200-150 years. :)BTW to define Italy is not easier than Balkans. Think of the language, we have: italic, greek, latin, celt, german (in multiple dialects), arab, albanian, slavic, french, spanish, catalan, and today english.
