Not only a green leaves. Not a flowers. Not even a warmth in the breeze in the morning.

Okay, spring is in Greece. I think I might go there :pIt's been just below freezing here for the last three nights! Spring missed us π¦
Actually, they are imported from Greece :PBut soon, very soon π
Don't care much for strawberries. Cherries I love. :DNice photo. π
π I brought them to you. Why don't you say that? It is my plate… :p Just kidding… Strawberries are one of real signs of spring, as well as cherries. π
Does that mean it's Wimbeldon time again? :insane:.
π₯ I'm allergic to them π₯
Imported from Greece? You cheated! This isn't a real post, it's a phoney, a big fat phoney! π‘
That's right! Uncle Darko, how dare you cheat us, we really thought it was spring in Serbia! π₯
Hm, I'm hungry :left: :right:
That's right, you're a liar, Darkie :irked:
Adele, it is very warm here even with some rain. If it wasn`t raining today I would go to training in t-shirt :cool:Ana, it is my plate :irked: Soon in Zemun open market there will be a lot of them :chef: Those ones are expensive 2 eur for a kilogram :bandit:Carol, I prefer cherries too, but will have to wait for them until June. But the best ones comes in July :chef:Aadil, errrr…. what do you mean? :left:San :awww: I am sorry to hear that. OK, I will eat them all in order not to start your allergies :chef:Kim and Mik  No, it is here. Just not with strawberries yet :whistle:Mit, you can have one… half of it π π :chef:
π
Strawberries are for tennis season. :p.
A witch! He's enchanted Edward! Stone them both! He turned me into a newt!
Wow, everybody just lighten up! We are NOT going to pick up rocks and stone Darko! At least not this time and certainly NOT for Greek strawberries!LMAO. (Pssst Darko just be sure the next strawberries you post are from Serbia, okay? A word to the wise…):p

Mik's been a pink newt since way back. :left:. I doubt Darko had anything to do with that..
Ed, they will be. I don`t want to end up lynched :insane:Mik, a Newt!? That little girl from Aliens movie? The only one that survived aliens attack on LV-426? Cool, you are celebrity then :DAngeliki, I am glad you recognised them. They are from your graden :whistle:Aadil :lol:Linda, I like them in any version :chef: But, as I said, I prefer cherries :chef:
I got better.
I like fresh strawberries, especially dipped in chocolate, milk or white. And I love the fresh strawberry cake my mom used to make. Otherwise, I don't care for strawberry flavor.

Mik, I am glad :DAngeliki, I will just wait for them to grow  And lemons, too :whistle:Star, wild strawberries are the best, the most intensive taste :chef:Rania, I live in Serbia, not in Siberia π Take a look here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SerbiaAadil, thanks π
They tasted even better
so sorry I beg your pardon
:chef: :chef:
Love the photo Darko. I like that little dish too. I have an odd assortment of small dishes I've bought at the second hand store. If I have people over, I serve desserts in them.Strawberries are delicious on salads with baby greens, walnuts and feta cheese. That's about the only time I eat them. Or as a fruit salad mixed with other fruit and also as a jam on toast. For me, they are a bit tart to eat alone.
hum, this time… Ok. I can have some more later :p
Baby greens are just different types of just sprouted lettuce, spinach and other green vegetables mixed together. In other words, all the greens are picked when quite small before they are fully grown.
Ah, ok. So what is the recipe for that? I would like to try it
Mit :yes:Pam, thanks I will try it when our strawberries comes to open markets :chef:
The recipe is not too fancy. Just a mixture of the baby greens, a tablespoon of chopped walnuts, a tablespoon of dried cranberries, three cut up strawberries, about a fourth cup crumbled feta cheese (more or less if you like it…I do). Sometimes I add one cut up Roma tomatoe and some grilled chicken pieces. Usually I use Poppyseed dressing to top it off but use a Balsamic Vinagerette dressing sometimes too.I first had this salad in a restaurant and loved it so made a note of all the ingredients to make it at home.
Rania, it is ok, no need to be sorry. It sounded funny though :DMit, I said only a half :knight: :PPam, with feta cheese? Wow, I never tried that before π‘ What are baby greens?
It's a really good and healthy salad. A correction, the salad I had at the restaurant had bleu cheese which was very good. But the first time I made it at home, I only had feta. I might even try a mixture of both cheeses next time. Now this is really making me hungry for the salad. I think I'll take myself out to lunch.
:lol:I just ate a bowl of salad made of tomatoes, feta cheese and olive oil :chef:
Now I'm really going to lunch.
:yuck:@ the oil!:chef:@ the tomato/feta
@ Darko&Mit-I just thought to take the plate, but you two stopped quarreling. :p @ Pam-Hello and thanks for the recipe a lot! π

Usually I just spend under $10 but then if I order a glass of wine too that adds 6 or 7 more dolars to my bill. That's why I try to make note of ingredients and duplicate something at home. I can buy a whole bottle of wine for 6 or 7 dollars and have it last several meals!

These strawberries looks tasty π I saw in a food store some from Turkey but they are too expensive.
mmm that salad sounds good…I'd like to try that.
Aadil, I guess you don`t like olive oil :lol:Ana, ok, you may have a plate but no strawberries :PPam, I don`t go to restaurants as I used to; on the other hand there is always a bottle of red wine in my house :DAngeliki, that would be a real treat :chef:Mira, this price is insane; I will be really happy when their price drops down to 0,3 – 0,4 eur for kilogram :chef:San, believe me it is excellent :chef:
Not fond of olives in general, but it's the tom&cheese in oil that I don't much like in the above scenario. :p.Add some sliced onion, lettuce, carrots and fresh (uncooked) string beans. Then, add a few drops of balsamic vinegar, about a table spoon of Italian herb mix (or your prefered blend) a pinch or two of salt, a pinch or two of fine pepper, put into a jar with the oil and shake well..Then it's a salad. :D,
π We have something similar as usual salad in Serbia. But I like that one I mentioned, too. I like salads, in general. On a second thought, I like to eat. A lot :left::chef:
