Sadness

I listened birches crying. Somewhere in the park, hidden by thick and opaque fog, like wrapped with a mantle. I could see heavy drops slowly going down their branches, ending on the leaves covered ground. Dull sound, like a rhythm.
Thud. Thud-thud. Thud.

Summer is over… summer is over…

As Rose said, it is poetic.I like this one too, one of my favorites.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6mBjXS4_dE

  2. L2D2 says:

Yes, you are a poet, Dare. Very descriptive—I can see and hear it.

  3. rose-marie says:

Very poetic, Darko! The thuds like tears from the trees… I like the picture too – it's so describing.I want summer now! :awww:

  4. Suntana says:

Whoa Whoa WHOA! Hold the phone.Pause the Earth's rotation.Dampen that guitar string's vibration. What is going on?Is Darko's sanity gone?Is Darko writing poetry?I thought with him it didn't agree.:D

hmmmmmmm that reminds me of Ghost whisperer with a big cleavage :p

  9. Suntana says:

Okay, Angeliki, can you elaborate? With your "Ghost Whisperer with Big Cleavage" comment, are you referring to that perhaps with Jennifer Love Hewitt's character being sweet … her :left: :right: Big Cleavage is totally wrong? :eyes: 😆

  10. Suntana says:

Ahhh! I get it.Well, I Know What You Did Last Summer. 😀 If it's what I'm thinking, it's gonna startle Darko, make him trip and fall backwards.FINE! I'll have to wait for the 2nd page. What torture.

  11. edwardpiercy says:

I was going to leave him a hot photo of Liv Tyler — but you're right, we shouldn't pollute his nice post. 😆

  12. edwardpiercy says:

That's very sweet!Totally wrong, but sweet!(:p Just joking Darko.)

  13. ellinidata says:

Darko has many sides, he is artistic with his picture taking, fierce with his sword fighting, professional with the T-shirt making, sweet with his grandparents love/anniversary,a great friend when with friends he even baptized their kids, a poet with nature……….. darn it! I always said "they do not make men the same any longer! "this man is a rule breaker too! :)and I am proud to call him friend

  14. ellinidata says:

Linda is right! "Serves him right "

  15. Suntana says:

Ohhhhh! THAT one! 😀 As luck would have it, I've had that one in my Art Gallery for a while, Angeliki.  :headbang:

  16. edwardpiercy says:

Boy is Darko gonna be surprised when he wakes up tomorrow! :p

  17. L2D2 says:

That will be about 3 more hours, maybe 4. I have a Serbian time clock on my date and time dialog box.

  18. L2D2 says:

He usually has a lot of comments to read when he comes to his posts in the a.m. Serves him right for being so popular. 😀

  19. ellinidata says:

😮 it was just a sneak peak… you are both teasers! there I said it! I am trying very hard to be good tonight ! 😀

  20. PainterWoman says:

Nice photo and poem Darko. Now you are a poet as well as a storyteller. Do you have other surprises for us up your sleeve? It is a relief here when the long summer ends but we do not have the winters that you do.

  21. Dacotah says:

WOW, nicely said Darko. Love the photo.

  22. Stardancer says:

Lovely, Darko. A melancholy farewell to summer.

  23. gdare says:

Rose, we will have to wait for a while now :awww:Ed, they didn`t call him a King for nothing :cool:Liv Tyler… :sigh:… she will never know about me… 😛 :lol:Linda, when I was a kid, my school teacher liked the way I make my written tasks – I was always good in descripting. I remember, once we needed to describe summer day and I started with:Early morning. Nothing is moving, there is no sound while a nature is waiting for a first sun ray to touch the dew drops on grass spears….Or something like that, I can`t remember it now. My old teacher of Serbian language was amazed and asked me to read it in front of a class. I was 12 back then.I wrote this one 18 yers ago.Carlos, I don`t write poetry 😆 Or… maybe this is a kind of poetry I understand :whistle:Angeliki, you remember a lot about me 😀 Thank you for kind words :heart:I know how hard it is for you to hold yourself :lol:Pam, well I don`t know, maybe I will be able to surprise all of you again… one day :DThanks :)Carol, thanks. A story is old but a photograph is made few weeks ago :)Star, I wanted to end it with some haiku poem but couldn`t find appropriate one. This is the one I always think of when I am melancholic:Departing spring!Birds crying;Tears in the eyes of fish.Mit, you have very unusual autumns, then 😀 Thanks 🙂

  24. sanshan says:

Death comes, new life arises. It will be spring and then summer soon enough.

  25. thaodp says:

Nice post Darko :)Your summer maybe come to play in our place. We have four seasons a day now.

  26. gdare says:

San, I know that circle 🙂

  27. claudeb says:

Me too. I based a website template on it.

  28. L2D2 says:

Dare, I was always good in literature and writing, also. My English teachers used my essays, etc. a few times to read to their other classes, which was very flattering to me. I remember one I wrote my senior year. Had to do an analogy essay. So I wrote one comparing a rose to aging–the bud, the growth, the slow opening of rose in stages, then the full beauty of the flower, and the fading, like being born and living and dying (the petals falling from the stem). I really wish I still had a copy of that, but teacher kept mine for herself.

  29. claudeb says:

I don't have my words on me, but I have some pictures from last year:

  30. gdare says:

Felix, I like the second one the most

  31. thetomster says:

    🙂 very poetic … I'm surprised … 🙂

  32. Dacotah says:

No, for my personal website. I tried to customize the look of My Opera, but it's a bit complicated for me. 🙂

  35. gdare says:

Linda, maybe you could remember it and then make a post?Dirk, thank you 🙂

you have no idea! 😆 especially with Santana, Linda, and Eddie around!:o  I always remember things my dear friends like/feel/do .

  37. intothedeep says:

He's a poet and he don't know it!Very nice, Dare!

  38. edwardpiercy says:

I think you are full of surprises Darko. :p 😀

  40. Suntana says:

    Are we there yet?

  41. Suntana says:

How many more miles till we get to Page Twoville?

  42. edwardpiercy says:

Oh to hell with it. Is that our Arwen? No way! Way way no way!!:p:D

  43. gdare says:

Carol :)Felix, have you finished it? Do you mind to share url so we can go check on it?Angeliki, I know what you mean 😆 Scroll down, Ed posted a gift for me :DMags, thank you, nice to see you around :)Carlos, scroll down… oh, you did? :PPam, thanks, I will give my best to make only nice surprises :DEd, she is…. yes, she is…..

  44. edwardpiercy says:

And oh, here's my girl Drew kissing your girl Liv.I'd say that's more like a possible "3-way" rather than "no way." :p

  45. gdare says:

    😆

  46. Suntana says:

Well that's odd. That 1st Pic of seemingly Liv, isn't displaying in its entirety for me. The space seems to be there, but only the head displays and then the Post is supposedly all loaded.

  47. edwardpiercy says:

I can see it fine. Do you have some sort of Parental Controls installed? 😆

  48. Suntana says:

Hmmm? Maybe it's the opposite effect going on. Maybe I have my Windows XP and / or MyOpera Raunch Threshold Setting set too high and the 1st Pic didn't meet the Raunch Level to be bothered with displaying? :jester:

  49. edwardpiercy says:

Well I'm on my phone right now and I'm even getting the whole image on the phone. Also got it on the full-blown browser. Just FYI.
