Warm place

I spent some time out today, I had a training then went to get my hair cut; in 5 p.m. I had a coffee with a friend in one of the pubs on river Danube. Even though it was warm during the day – over 10C/50F – suddenly it dropped to 3C/37.4F :left: Later, we had a short walk by the river then I escorted her to a bus station and went home. My hands were cold and nose started running – a sure sign that winter is behind the corner πŸ˜† Had plans to go out tonight, my friend invited me to photography exhibition, but felt tired and that special feeling of weariness when spending too much time out in the cold. Took a hot shower then sat in my warm and safe place….

Took this photo the other day when I was changing batteries in my camera. Somehow it felt warm just looking at it. Hope you are all at safe and warm place… somewhere…

10 degrees is warm for you? You're easily pleased! ;)That's a(nother) nice photo, by the way. How'd your foot manage training?

  2. L2D2 says:

I like your wallpaper. I have several autumn images that I use this time of year. It is 71F right now at nearly 5p.m. my time, and the sun is shinging very brightly.

  3. SittingFox says:

The coffee cup just makes that photo! πŸ™‚ (And I don't even drink coffee :coffee:)I was going to say something about 3c being cold, but I'm sure you can imagine what, so I won't :zip:

  4. gdare says:

Linda, I like that wallpaper too, it goes well with present season πŸ˜€ You have a sun in 5 p.m.? Probably because Texas is southern than Serbia, we had sundown at 4:28 p.m. today.David, 10C in this part of a year is sometimes a bless πŸ˜† We will have sub zero temperature tomorrow morning :left:My foot is doing well, thank you, I tested it yesterday in an harder training than the one I had today, still have pangs (?) here and there, but it is recovering. I will give myself one more week though before I try with full training.

  5. Dacotah says:

I am glad you have a place that warms you heart and body :)thanks for sharing, the picture might be an "accidental" but sure attracts attention right away :)so,are you warmer now?

  9. L2D2 says:

I was really, really happy to see bright sunshine here today, even if I didn't get out in it. Waiting to see what tomorrow brings, even though reports say it will be pretty again. I never believe them.

:headbang: I live in the tropics, Darko. πŸ˜€

  12. CedarFox says:

I think we live on practically the same latitude, Darko. Our temperature was a lot like yours today, although it was just a degree or two warmer. :)Anything under 20c feels too chilly to me. I actually prefer to be in 38c weather than anything else. πŸ˜€

  13. thaodp says:

    Nice picture, Darko

Adele, yes I know πŸ˜† Actually, it is not the coldness alone but the humudity in air that made me feel like staying at home. I don`t mind coldness in mountains :D:sst: it was a tea in a cup :)Carol, thank you :happy:San, you wore shorts in 12C??? :yikes: Did you swam in open swimming pool too? :insane:Star, from your and Linda`s comments I know you had a lot of raining lately. It surely feels nice to feel some sun rays on a tip of a nose :DGraham, isn`t it usual weather for GB? :DLinda, the best way to predict a weather is to take a look through a window every morning πŸ˜† I don`t believe our meteorologists either, but you must believe someone πŸ˜† On the other side, urban areas developed its own climate and sometimes it is hard to predict 2 or 3 days ahead.Angeliki, I am warm now, thank you, just get up after 7 hours spent in bed πŸ˜€ Kim, thank you :)Kyren, no problem for you then πŸ˜€ Where in India you live?Eric, I like summer the most but other sesons has its charm and I can`t expect to have winter with temperatures above 20C πŸ˜† But I guess this is why we, who live in northern hemisphere think more often about tropic paradise island as an ideal place for living :DMit, thank you, I bet you have your warm place too πŸ™‚

  17. Dacotah says:

    Staying warm? πŸ˜€

  18. L2D2 says:

I get confused—-don't I lose an hour of sleep? I never can remember. It's all very confusing to my internal clock.

  19. L2D2 says:

It stayed really pretty all day. Our time changed tonight. It was 2 a.m. and then it was 1:01 a.m. in the blink of an eye. Back to Central Standard Time till next April. I don't like.

  20. gdare says:

πŸ˜† But it will make you sleep one hour longer and I know you like it πŸ˜€

  21. gdare says:

    Yes

  22. gdare says:

A clock is reversed so you have an extra hour πŸ˜€

  23. KYren says:

  24. thaodp says:

You are welcome, Darko. I have my warm place  :sst: and now it seem to be warmer than I want – with 31C πŸ˜€

  25. ricewood says:

Nice place you've got there :smile:And warm moods can come from a photo with an incorrectly colour temperature setting πŸ˜‰ "Perfect" photos are often boring.

  26. gdare says:

I needed to Google it to find that Latur District is in central India. Did you make a post about your place of living, I would like to read if you have?

  27. gdare says:

Kimmie, thanks, it feels nice to sit there in quiet autumn or winter evenings  I bet you and Mik have the one for yourself πŸ˜€

  28. gdare says:

Sometimes I feel like a cat, preferring the same spot every day πŸ˜†

  29. Spaggyj says:

    That's sweet πŸ˜†

  30. Spaggyj says:

Hmmm, mine varies on different days. I have a few places that I love to be depending on my mood.

  31. Spaggyj says:

Looks like a real cozy spot. I think everyone should have one little corner of haven somewhere

  34. KYren says:

πŸ˜€ I knew you'd google it, so what did you find? Can I ask you a question? Why do they call a white guy Darko? πŸ˜€

  41. PainterWoman says:

I like the mood and the lighting of this picture. It's almost as if there is a nice fire going in a fireplace behind you. It has been very nice here the last couple of days, 45 to 50F in the early morning but warming to 65 to 72F during the day. Lots of sun and no wind. The few days before that it was 55F and windy in the middle of the day. Too cold for us Arizonans. I didn't dress warmly enough the first of those days. I wore short sleeves, capri pants and sandals and since I was working outside, near water and in the shade, I ended up having to leave after only 20 minutes because I was too cold. If it hadn't been so windy, I might have been ok.

  42. sanshan says:

It was sunny too. No wind. Isn't 12 warm? Hey we all live in igloos here in Canada. πŸ™„

  43. KYren says:

Hey Mik and Kim, I am sorry if you are hurt by the question, but remember I am an OBC in my country. You have misinterpreted my comment. I will never hurt deliberately making racist comments. Dark I am sorry if you are also hurt, I was just curious. Btw, I do not have much to say about Latur so I do not write anything about it. I was mainly here to write on the caste system and I had written what I wanted to write, but a Brahman made derogatory comments on my blog so I had to delete the posts. I am rewriting my blog. Then I am leaving OC.

  44. Zulia says:

KYraaan! WAAAIT! no no no its not like that! That Brahman, you dont care bout him! There is no caste or class here in oc! we are all equals n friendsz!

  45. gdare says:

Leaz, I am glad :DBud, I hope it will be soon. What is going on with her, I don`t see her around lately. Busy again?Pam, I wear winter ski jacket and winter shoes for about a week now. No sandals for me until next summer :awww:San, how could I forgot that?? πŸ˜› So, what`s the temperature in your igloo?Kyren, now I got it. You know, I don`t live in a country that ever had racist or caste problems. We do have chauvinism, both religious and nationalist, but I succeeded to stay out of it so far. I had to, half of my family are of Slovakian origins and the other half is from Croatia. My grandpa has Montenegring blood. And we all live in Serbia. One third of family are Roman Catholics, another third are Evangelistics and the last third are Serbian Orthodox Christians. How could I take sides unless I want to hurt someone I am very close to? I am sorry if you can`t stay above problems you have with people of higher caste. 1s and 0s here don`t tell your colour, religion, nationality… caste.

  46. Spaggyj says:

Not offended, just baffled by the things you bring up sometimes.

  47. rose-marie says:

Ooh, that does look a like warm and cosy corner! :happy:Autumn is really here, with grey and damp weather. We have sundown at 16:30 already. I miss the sun! Thank goodness it's less than two months until we start heading towards lighter times again :D.

  48. gdare says:

Rose, it s a corner of my small room, I made a photo from a bed. If you take a look at that photo I left on your post, you will see the book shelf behind my back. I was sitting in front of computer there πŸ˜€

  49. Minenow says:

*smiles* I love the picture, and glad I got to see it on the computer. Quite lovely, yes, warm, and relaxing. It isn't warm here, but I have two blankets and lots of warm thoughts. When needed, a good cup of cocoa or a hot toddy can do wonders too.. :oHope you been well, Dare..and that things are less stressful at work…:)

  50. gdare says:

Actually, I am feeling quite good now. Life has its soft sides, sometimes….
