While the most of the Europe and, I am sure, most of the USA and Canada, enjoy sunny and unusually warm weather, it is not like that for us in Balkan and partly Austria and Hungary. For more than a month now we have rain every day, sometimes few times a day. It is very warm and humid, like we are in tropics but this is not a summer I am used to.
Usually it starts as a nice sunny day, then in few hours…
… and about 30 minutes later….
Lot of rain and thunders. Sometimes I think that old Slavic god Perun is also a member of MyOpera Community and that he read my post about storms and all of the comments :insane: So now he decided to test my bravery :yikes:
On the nice side, nothing can prevent flowers from exposing their beauty

Global warming? It's been rainy and cool in Massachusetts, USA. It's been a very odd Summer, still feels like Spring.
That flower is stunning!Sorry to hear that you're stuck with weather that you don't enjoy! Personally, I'm finding it far too hot up here, especiallyy in the urban areas. I'm looking forward to autumn!
short and sweet!
Adele, from what I can see in yours and Words` posts and also from Rose`s, you are enjoying summer that is usually like here. Well, I am used to higher temperatures and hope the next two months will be better. Right now, we are expecting more rain :irked:Mags, it could be, I don`t know. Weather like this is usual for April, in Belgrade :left:
What flower is that? It's so colourful  . I wish that Perun would bring some of that weather to us :awww:
Same here. The most amusing thing is, Romanian meteorologists had predicted a dry summer. So much for their predictions. Can't remember when they were right last time, anyway.
Kimmie, I don`t know but i will ask my friend, even better, I will ask his wife and after that I will post its name here ๐ As for the weather, we could make an exchange :up:Mik :lol:Pam, I was at my office that day and these are houses in our neighbourhood. There were no customers so I went out to watch the rain coming. The day before we had literally a small river floating in the middle of the street :left: A lot of people were stuck in a deep water after their cars stopped :insane:Felix, so Romanian meteorologists are the same as Serbian ones ๐
Angeliki, thanks ๐ I hope you had beautiful weather in Barbados… on a second thought I am sure you did, because all the rain is here ๐
Of course I read your posts. :p
how did you manage to have the perfect time enrty ?? :lol:check our entries!
Furie ๐ Send some of that rain here…..please! I like all the roof angles in the second photo with the water pouring out the drain spout. I'd like to know what flower that is too. Beautiful brilliant colors!
Here in Denmark we're enjoying, or suffering – make your choice – unusual heat at the moment. But tomorrow the weather will change to what you describe. Maybe we'll just swap weather tomorrow?
Two times in a row you two had perfect timing!:faint:
Okay, on both counts :p
 nice pictures … that's what bad weather is good for ๐ … it's warm and humid here too, heavy rains only twice the last week and last night again, local flooding in my area … but it's summer … already a few years like this :awww:
We breathe the same way ๐
yes, indeed!*hugs*
Awww, hope you get better weather soon Darko. Great photos. ๐
:sing: *chants* "rain, rain go away. Come again another day!":sing: *chants* "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring. He went to bed, 'n he bumped his head an' he couldn' gettup in the morning!".:sing: *chants* "Itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. Down came the rain, and washed the spider out. Up came the sun, and dried up all the rain and itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again!". :p.If it's any consolation, it's been raining here too..
I'm working on it guys.
*sends a storm at Aadil*
East Texas is very humid and very hot. Our summers are always hot, but this summer is hotter than the last few, which were considered mild because the actual temperature didn't get up to 100F. No so this year. We are already pushing 100F and still most of July and August to go. We have had one decent rain in weeks and we have burning bans everywhere. Send us your rain Dare.
Graham, that's no fun doing tile in that kind of heat. It is exhausting. It's already been 106 here. We had our first 100 in April!
Have you finished it yet Graham? Maybe your wife is doing it on purpose to get you slim and trimmer?
I'd love to see it..Thankyou sanshan.:wait:
Oh dear. You'd be jealous of the weather we're having here. I'll post some pictures later for you to drool over. ๐
In my place right now its very hot..:yikes:start at june..and would stop at august..we're tropical country..But i thouht its getting hot and hot year by year..Maybe its global warming like they're called..Thats why i posted somethng about global warming and how to solve it..
Jaxs says it is a marigold (your flower)
its been rainy here in florida as well…maybe on or two dry days in about 3 weeks….yuk
That is what I think too.
first one I saw when I typed marigold image in search bar. What I call a French Marigold.
OK. You know I am always interested in unfamiliar plant names.
21 comments :faint: I went to a birthday party my friend organized in a pub for us and came home too late and too tired to come on line :zzz:Carol, I`ve checked, we will have weather like this for a next two days for sure, then we will see :left:Dirk, last year I was in Vienna, Austria in July and weather was terrible, rainy and not warm at all; I guess it was because of Alps, one day you may have 30C and next day it drops under 15C :insane: Allan, I know it must be hard for you northerners but knowing how long your winters may be, this is a welcomed change, right?Aadil, thanks for chants :up: But knowing that behind everything is Mik, I don`t think they will help :awww:Mik :PLinda, I would like to swap a little with your weather, not that I am craving for 40C+ 100F+ temperatures :insane: but it would be nice to see more sun for a change… and some blue skies…Graham, I spent several summers working at construction sites, helping my friends to make houses for themselves. It was during 90s when I didn`t have money to travel. Usually, the main person in construction site will put me to operate concrete mixer. They have said I have a talent for it :insane: Now, when I see construction site I turn my head to another side :left: :yikes: :right:Pam, in April? :eyes:Risis, Indonesia is tropic country so weather like this would be usual for you, I guess; it stops with Monsoon in September, right?San, I know I will be jealous :irked: I hope you enjoyed your little trip :yes:Kim, this is not nice to hear, I know that hurrycane season starts in June but I don`t know how often it rains there; is it like in typical tropics, raining almost every day? thanks for a tip for a flower name, I will check on it, to find Serbian explanation :up:Linda, this is similar, I will try to find the same one;
I`ve just checked for Serbian name for marigold, it is neven but I don`t think this is the same flower; I will keep you informed when I find something :sherlock:

darko good effort to keep up with all the comments .. you know daily change of weather is going to be more extreme from year to year … sometimes there are 20ยฐ difference from day to day … not very comfortable and not healthy at all … ๐
Yesterday evening was raining, raining and raining… And for this evening they announced that it might will rain… Oh what a summer! :faint: I remember how in weather forecasts they were telling that we will have unforgetable heat this summer! So, we will see, 'cause about two more months we have summer season here…
:eyes: WOW what an event! :faint: I think it is called Neven in Serbian ๐
Linda :up:Dirk, I know ๐ฆ Summers that I remember from my youth will never return…..
Ana, last evening when I was going to that party, I was in a car with a friend of mine, we entered Terazijski tunel (tunnel in the centre of Belgrade, just to explain to others), on one end it was dry but on the other it was raining as hell. And tunnel is about 40 meters long :faint: :doh:Do you recognize that flower, do you know its Serbian name?
I think it is a marigold Dare. There are many forms of marigolds, and many varieties, so this probably is some variety of marigold. The one you have is a particularly beautiful specimen.
I ti mislis da je to neven? hmm….So, folks, Ana said it is neven = marigold.Kim, Jaxs is right then
Actually, I made that photo in a garden of one of my coleagues who live close to our company ๐
Huh. Never seen a marigold quite like it – it's much nicer than the ones around here
Yeah you were right darko..:)i wanna ask you guys, why your folks always laydown on the beach and let the sun burn their skin?.:wait:and i won't do that., i just want my skin more bright white..
Not me.
Me either. I like being pale.
๐ …. glad he was right on the name of your flower…he is really good when it comes to naming plants.
:hi: :hi: :hi: ๐ I think Slavic god Perun changed as Global warming god today in my country most of the cities had a dusty weather which came from Iraq for a first time most of the offices and schools are closed and today we had a really dusty day :yuck:I wish I had a rainy day, it's better than dust
Jaxs says that the old timers in the south used to call marigolds "bashful buttons"
Silly Opera glitch. Sometimes it takes for ever to post a comment, but if you click it again after the first, it will eventually post twice. I have learned to post comment only once. It will get it posted after awhile. Sometimes it takes so long it shows as a proxy server error, but if you open the post in a new tab, the comment will be there.
