A milestone. I couldn`t remember any other subject for this post – as all of you know, English is not my first language so forgive me if this is not completely appropriate. But I reached one number.
40.
From today, I am 40 years old.
I was thinking how would I feel today. To be frank with you, I don`t feel a bit different than when I was 30. A lot of things happened in a meantime but I still feel the same. Like at some point time has stopped for me.
Then, one thought came to my mind. When I was born my grandfather was 6 months younger than I am now. He`s got his first grandson with 39 and half and that must have been a great experience. We never talked about it but i remember my grandmother told me he took me everywhere with him, wanted to present his grandson to a world – his neighbours, friends and relatives 🙂
So, according to standards from the 60s I am actually an old man 😆 Should have my own kids and grandkids, taking them to walk, showing them a world. Telling them stories. Teaching them. But at some point, life decided to take a different path. World has changed. I was changed. And there was no way back.
Today I have a training but tomorrow evening I will call my friends and go to have a few drinks with them. To have a nice time, laughing, joking, telling funny stories. Enjoying to be together.
Life is good.
p.s. pay no attention to a shiny armour, this is how I really look like 😀

How nice you look, Dare. And Happy Birthday. Why didn't anyone know today was your birthday? What you said is correct about time stopping….inside I have never been older than 35 and probably never will be. It is a strange phenomenon of the aging process. I wish you a very happy birthday and at least twice that more.

I am the second. Happy Birthday Darko my friend. I didn't feel any different from 30 to 40 either. Now 50 and 60, that's a whole different story. I hope your day is a great one. Are you having cake and ice cream?
Don't blame you Dare. Me being 35 makes the shock of looking in the mirror and feeling all these physical pains and other garbage of aging an even bigger shock to my system. My inside feeling doesn't match the way I look and feel outside. But you have a long way to go. 40 is the absolute prime of life.

I guess I somehow missed the word "now." The context got all messed up and I was thinking, "WHAT? Darko's grandfather is 6 months younger than him? Funny, most people expect to feel different on a milestone birthday… Like they'll suddenly feel wiser, or less energetic… 😆 and of course, it is no different from how you felt the day before, is it? Happy Birthday Dark :hat: ! Kick some ass at training eh? :p .

Hmmm, qlue, my dad was 40, mom 39 when I was born. I was the youngest of 8. People used to think they were my grandparents.
