Spring? Where?

In sunday, only four days ago, we had a nice sunny weather, 14C and clear view to the other side of Danube. It was nice sitting outside, drinking coffee and watching gulls flying.

This morning reminded me winter is still in charge.

Snow storm started about 24 hours ago and even though we have only about 20cm of snow in Belgrade, it produced a lot of problems, mostly in traffic. I was 20 minutes late for work, wasting a lot of time waiting for a bus :irked:
Yesterday, spring was behind a corner. Today,…..

  3. gdare says:

πŸ˜† Thanks for a spring(s) Angeliki. This really made my day…ummm… night. I will go to bed soon :zzz:I hope there were no injured people in that train :left:

  4. PainterWoman says:

What a difference! The first is so calming and the second, not so much. I much prefer the sun with a few clouds.

  5. Stardancer says:

That's like Arkansas weather! We have a saying here: "If you don't like the weather, hang around for five minutes. It'll change.":pGreat photos!

  6. Javaen says:

We too, have been experiencing the last week or two of warmer weather rendering my backyard into an Olympic size pond. Tomorrow, snow is expected. Spring is fickle. She'll get here eventually.

  7. edwardpiercy says:

"clear view to the other side of Danube."That just sounds so Romantic to me. In spite of snow. It's still the ancient Ister — :up:Hope the sun returns for you soon.

  8. thaodp says:

Snow storm :insane: I hope it'll be over soon. Here the weather makes me feel like summer now with sunshine and 22-30C :p πŸ’‘ *put some sunshine in a box, send to Darko*

  9. Javaen says:

YES! I love sunshine! πŸ˜€ We've been overcast for three days!I think I get kinda blue when the sun stays gone too long…..

  10. thaodp says:

So, I'll send some sunshine to you right now

  11. thaodp says:

Would you like some, Javaen ? πŸ˜€

  12. Javaen says:

    Awww. That's sweet.

  13. sanshan says:

I think spring is often like that. One day it's nice, warm, sunny and then the next you get a freak snow storm. In fact, we had snow just yesterday, after all the sunny weather, and flowers blooming. To me, this inconsistency in the weather means spring is really just around the corner. There! How's that for positive thoughts!

  16. Javaen says:

Thaodp. Aw. Yer so sweet. And I shall send you good vibes. πŸ˜€

    Wonderful!

Angeliki – several car accidents with few injured is a result of a previous day; snow is still falling, we will se what will happen today; I will need to go earlier to my job in order not to be late, as yesterday :irked:Pam – I guess we are all tired of coldness and snow :left:Stardancer – thanks; in case of Arcansas, I hope it is not changing from hot to snow during summer :insane:Java – you have Olimpic swimming pool in your backyard? :envious:Ed – an old romantic, this is who I am πŸ˜› thanks;Mit – it would be interesting to see how winter looks like in your part of the world πŸ˜€ thanks for the sunshine :happy:Carol – πŸ˜€ thanks for coming :)Sanshan – luckily, our flowers didn`t get that kind of disappointment; it is all gray here, no sign of flowers yet πŸ™‚

A mate of mine went to a football match in the north of the UK, when he got there it was sunny, it then got windy and started to rain, the rain turned to hail, that then turned to snow, by the end of the match the sun was out again..

  20. gdare says:

:lol:I remember, when I was 18 or something, I spent one winter at my grandma`s in small mountain willage in Croatia. We went to a pub in the evening, it was raining and when we got out few hours later it was about 50cm of snow :faint:

  21. glenno says:

I always laugh when i see the weather on the tv, they talk about it like its a tame dog that will do exactly what they say..

  22. Dacotah says:

You are welcome Darko, anytime. πŸ˜€

  23. Zaphira says:

February is such a bitch! :mad:I hope for you that the snow will melt soon and that spring is just around the corner!

  24. rose-marie says:

!Stupid weather lulling you into false sense of security only to turn its back on you the next day :irked:.Weird, but we have the same traffic problems here whenever it snows. You'd think a country that's really just an excuse for a fridge would know what to do when it snows… πŸ™„

  25. gdare says:

Glenno – exactly; and it always acts as stray dog, not obedient at all :PZaphira – on my way to work I have made few photos, I will upload two of them in next comment :)Rose – then, I am glad our community services are not the only one that suck on a weather like this… well, sort of :whistle:Clint – I have never heard of Wolf's rain… is it when wolves fall down from a sky, actually pushed from a cliff

  26. Cois says:

    Wolf's Reign I said you git πŸ˜†

  27. gdare says:

    This morning:

  28. Cois says:

Rain here.. Nice rain.. i love rain.. More rain.. Here comes the rain.. Rain on me.. Wolf's reign.. :p

  29. gdare says:

Yes, there in Oslo :PIt was a bigger photo of a tree and a fence but I cropped it πŸ™‚

  30. rose-marie says:

πŸ˜† Darko – did you just say you're happy that the traffic situation here sucks? :eyes: :pLove the second photo!

  31. gdare says:

    Wolf's rain, I know

  32. rose-marie says:

You're mean :awww:I've taken a couple of pictures from the snow situation here too. Might smack them up this weekend .

  33. gdare says:

I am expecting to see them :up:This is how I felt yesterday :P:cow:

  34. gdare says:

    Thanks Angeliki

  35. ellinidata says:

  36. Spaggyj says:

It is still cold here too. Highest temperature we have had lately is 5 degrees c. :irked:

  37. edwardpiercy says:

Very nice BW photos! The bottom one especially has a nice range of tones.

  38. ricewood says:

I wonder if the huge difference in temperature might be because of mountains nearby?

  39. Javaen says:

I agree, you have an artist's eye with pictures Dare. And I have a pond, not a pool, and you are welcome to come over with your speedo or whatever and do laps. :D*sighs* I love rain. It's just grey and bleak here. I wish it would rain.

  40. gdare says:

Kimmie – we have 0C three days in a row; I am happy it is not colder :)Allan – in Belgrade we don't have high mountains in vicinity; at least within 3 hours of driving range; this cold wave came from north, north-west :left:Ed – all of the photos I put here are in full color, no B&W πŸ˜€

  41. PainterWoman says:

I agree, that closeup is gorgeous.

  42. Zaphira says:

I like the latest of the pictures best. The close up of the fence, with loads of snow. It's so pretty!

  43. gdare says:

Java – thank you; it was grey most of the winter here and now it is B&W; spring would be a nice difference :sst: I hope you don`t have crocodiles in that pond; if you have, I will toss Cois first and then swim while they are busy catching him :devil:Zaphira and Pam – thank you both

  44. rose-marie says:

this cold wave came from north, north-west

    That's from here. πŸ˜₯

  45. MizzMartinez says:

    NO!

  46. MizzMartinez says:

You should enjoy this time…you won't have winter in a close future! :p

  47. gdare says:

    πŸ˜₯

  48. gdare says:

Yes, so you don`t have it now. We have it :irked:

  49. gdare says:

    Is that a promise? :eyes:

  50. Javaen says:

πŸ˜† No crocs in Wisconsin. No, no penguins either. We gots bunnies. πŸ˜€
