In January 1st, early in the morning it started snowing. And did for about 48 hours. We have about 30cm of a new snow and this is more than enough for a city – main streets are clean and safe for driving but out of them…. :left:
I was going to visit my parents and brother, they live about 1km from my place and it looked like this:
Tomorrow I went out for a walk, I was tired of sitting at home and even the snow was still falling and it was about -6C, I visited park in center of Zemun and bank of Danube. My intention was to make as much photographs as my camera allow me, but coldness emptied batteries soon so I ended up with only few of them π¦
The main paths were cleaned of snow, even benches were available π
This morning was amazing – I have seen the sun first time after month and a half of fog, clouds and snow.
The day was beautiful but very cold and windy – KoΕ‘ava, as we call this wind started this morning and with -7C it was freezing outside.
A lot of my coleagues are on two weeks holiday and being alone in the office felt good – no noise, loud conversation and nervous customers
Winter….

Thanks Kimmie :)Remember this post:http://my.opera.com/gdare/blog/2007/10/28/fallThe same place π
Oh wow. That third shot is amazing…
What a lovely place it is, too…
If you remember, I promised you some winter photos with snow π Here they are.
Fantastic! I'm very jealous indeed! :DOf course, I appreciate that snow isn't always a very practical thing to happen, especially if you're going travelling, but it looks stunning. That sunrise is fabulous
Thanks Adele :DToday afternoon it started raining, and with temperature below zero and a strong wind everything is frozen, even the raindrops on my window. It will be tricky to get out tomorrow π
That is a nice moment, to see the sun after such a long time…Nice photos of some nice places
My hometown π
I wish we had some snow here like that again :)That sunrise is so nice
Thanks :happy:With all rain we have since yesterday, the snow will end up as half melted ice, dangerously slippery :yikes:
π
Wow, that's a lot of snow you've got already. We had snow yesterday and when I went to bed everything was white outside. When I woke up it was all gone again. I don't mind that. :DGreat shots.
It will be of no use, believe me π
Bring a walking stick if you go out then! π
Waooow, you weren't lazy on holiday. π I like the sunrise pics! How can't I never catch the sun like you do?
It was in friday :rolleyes::D
Hahaha, yeah thats right, mine is looking south and I don't get up so early except in working days. π
Maybe your window is not on the east side :left::eyes: π
so no stilts for Darko on those roads? π
No, it is too slippery π
Man I love snow, thanks a lot for these pics! :yes:It helps me coold down in these hot summer days! :up:Hey, how are you doing Darko? π
oh.. I see you got a bit of snow? But.. do you expect a storm this winter?:rolleyes:I like the last pic!
@Dannii – in hot summer days we want a touch of winter and in winter…. I envy you for a summer you have :lol:I am doing fine, thank you :)@Martin – ok, I know these few flakes cannot be compared to what you have in Canada; we have light storm last week, southern, in south Serbia and Bulgaria it was much stronger, taken few lives and caused a lot of problems; do you expect strong storm soon?
It's the worst winter ever. We normally have 2-3 big storms per winter. Sometimes none..We got 5 until now and winter officially started Dec.20th :insane:And thanks to global warming and weird stuff it's 10Β°C today.. ultra foggy.Who knows, probably in 4-5 days we'll be at -25Β°C!
Wow, this is a serious winter :eyes: I remember a story of some wind that blows during winter, my friends who live now in Canada has told me that air is full of small particles of ice and it cuts skin with small wounds…. Is it true?
-25Β°C? :faint:
The lowest temperature in Belgrade, as I can remember was -18C and when I was in army I experienced -22C, few days in a row. When the air is dry this is not big problem, but air humidity in Belgrade is higher and when the wind starts during cold days….. :faint:
The coldest I felt was -37Β°C I think… without wind it's not that bad.But here the meteo guys like to add the "windchill factor" to make it more dramatic. It only concerns the "live" organisms. (the water wont freeze faster) so you can reach -40,45Β°C but that happens once or twice per winter at night.*I never got any wound caused by ice particles. π
We had -4Β°C the other day, but the meteorologists said that because of the strong wind it would feel as if it was -18Β°C. I tell you, I nearly froze my ass off! :left:
oh.. :right:ok.When cold, "shake it" to warm it up.
Excellent advice. It wasn't naked though. :left:
Here is my advice,Never go out "ass naked".
nice photos!!! :Dyour virtual tourist! :p
@Martin and Tilla – to play salsa while waiting for bus :D@Isabel – thanks π
psst! :whisper: nice smile! π
:whisper: thank you :)

Here too, south west wind here started about a week ago (KoΕ‘ava), all snow is melted now π¦
There was a littlebit of snow here, until the winds turned and all of a sudden came from the south west…warm winds:eyes: SnowΒ΄s gone now:(
Yay! Snow is gone! Hooray! :hat::D
:no:I like my snow π¦
good luck that there is no snow here
You can keep your snow, Darko. In fact, you can have mine too if I get any!
I could put truck loads on ebay….
@Rea – maybe you would like it? :D@Tilla – thank you, send it here :)@Martin – in fact, this is not a bad idea :left: π
