The place in Belgrade where the best black beer could be found. My favourite place for a last few years.
There is a story that, in the beginning of 1999, the owners of place were wandering what name to give to their club. It was very hard situation in Serbia then, the NATO air campaign was about to begin. They decided to give this place an optimistic name, and there it was – Optimist.
Usually it is very crowded here, but we came early. Also, the weather was fair so a lot of guests sat outside.
This post is here because of Opera user Nic who reminded me with his Palae bar. Also, this one is for Attila Thanks to both of you, have some :beer: with me ๐

I have never tasted black beer. But the Tuborg Christmas Brew is one of the few strong beers I actually like.

Beograd, really? :up:Yes it is, in Serbian. Beo means white, did you know that? But I think few hundreds years ago "beo" or "bel" meant beautiful. "Grad" means town ๐

๐ Tuborg comes in many varieties, and when I say strong, I am thinking of the alcohol %. There are lighter beer in Denmark too, also beer without alcohol at all.

The vitamin B has been taken out of Carlsberg- and Tuborg Beer. Many Hoboยดs and people of the streets got sick because of that ๐ฆ

Interesting discussion. During the war many serbs got norwegian friends. When they stayed in Norway as POW for the nazis, the norwegians helped them as much as possible. I hope we still have some serbian friends. The danish beer will help us all :cheers: :DPs. There is no vit C in beer. Scurvy is lack of vit C ๐
